What makes PICCaCOVERuk different from other Picc line Covers ?
PICCaCOVERuk provides hand-tailored, custom made decorative armbands specifically designed for disguising PICC lines. We now have a dedicated section of arm covers to protect CGM sensor devices like Freestyle Libre, Dexcom, Omnipod and Eversense. Our covers can also be used to cover tattoo's. Unlike mass-market brands that only offer standard sizes, every single Piccacoveruk sleeve is individually custom made to order in half inch increments and multiple length options to ensure a better fit that stays securely in place without pinching.
How do I choose the correct size for my PICC line Sleeve ?
To get the best fit, use a flexible tape measure. Measure around your bicep just over your line / device. Pull the tape for a snug fit (not too tight but not loose), you will then choose one inch below that measurement (example : measurement of 10 inches = order 9 inch cover). PICCaCOVERuk offers covers in half inch increments starting at 5 inch baby bicep up to 16 inch adult bicep, meaning a better fit. Custom sizes on request via contact me page. Please note the custom sublimation print covers only go upto 11 inch at the moment. There are several length options to choose from.
What materials are PICCaCOVERuk armbands made from ?
All our covers are made using OEKO-TEX Standard fabrics meaning they are all safe to be used against the skin, they are breathable and soft for comfortable wear on a daily basis or during sleep. We use a range of different fabrics offering a multitude of choices including Spandex elastane (swimwear fabric), Cotton Jersey, Scuba spandex (which offers structured support whilst sitting flat against the skin) and lace (for a touch of classic elegance when going to formal events.) Our Custom sublimation cover sleeves are made using prepared for print fabric that comes in two choices, spandex elastane or stretch jersey, both of which are polyester based with spandex. All of our custom sublimation prints use only the best inks that are OEKO-TEX standard 100, meaning they are 100% safe for use against skin.
Do you make picc line covers for children ?
Yes we have a section dedicated to children offering both plain and custom fun prints that your child will love and because every cover is made to order we specialise in PICC line and CGM sensor sleeves. Sizing starts at 5 inch bicep up to 10 inch bicep. Custom prints are all available in Baby, Toddler and Teen Sizes, with different lengths available.
Are PICCaCOVERuk covers waterproof ?
At this time no but this is something that is currently being worked on. Our fabric covers are perfect for everyday or sleep wear but they are not waterproof. When bathing or showering with a picc line a dedicated waterproof protector sleeve should be used. For CGM sensors the spandex elastane range whilst not waterproof is suitable for water based activities like swimming.
